Small Business Spotlight…Great head shots!

One look at my personal Facebook page or on my computer hard drive and you will instantly think I’m in love with myself. There are photos of me everywhere. Well, I have been with myself for 42 years and “they” (I know – none of us really know who “they” is) always say “You can’t love anyone else if you don’t first love yourself” so I think I have that pretty well covered.

But, really, I recently had the opportunity to take advantage of a Head shot Extravaganza put on by a friend of mine who is an incredible photographer. I have had the pleasure of seeing her photography everyday for the past year as she has worked with my friend Kristen to design monthly computer wallpapers. So, when she posted on Facebook about this event I knew I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity – especially since I needed a new head shot for my newly designed website.

Here is a link to the amazing photos she took for me that day.  I’ve picked out three favorites (5, 8 & 10) that I will be getting copies of to use on my website, LinkedIn, Facebook and anywhere else that needs a pick-me-up. Let’s face it, using the “self” portrait on my website is probably not the most professional. I’m sure people don’t really want to see my bedroom in the backroom and my arm extended slightly in front of myself as I attempt to take my own picture.

As you probably know by now, I love to promote other people’s businesses. I think it’s highly important to support and promote other entrepreneurs.  If you are in the Atlanta area you definitely need to check out Oana’s work if you need any photos at all.  Oana’s company – Oana Hogrefe Photography is beautifully described on her website (you can access it by clicking the link embedded in the name of her business), both in words and visually.  Should you decide to give her a call, the pronunciation of her name is Wannah (something I never seem to get right).

This is the beautiful wallpaper I had for the month of September.  It’s just a little peek into what else she does so brilliantly!
