Beaser Bags & Pattern Co {Spotlight}
Some time ago I met Angie (in a pattern testing group I think – isn’t it terrible that I have suddenly forgotten? – in my defense it has been a crazy year). Â Anyway – the important part is that I met Angie from Beaser Bags & Pattern Co and now I have the honor and pleasure of introducing her to you.
When I met Angie I told her I’d love to feature her on the blog, and now that she has completed her first pattern for the Tuck N Roll bag and I want to be sure no one misses out on this!  Angie was so kind as to gift one of her Tuck N Roll bags and it is truly adorable and amazing!  Don’t believe me?  Think you have enough bags?  Well…just look at these photos and you will immediately realize that you NEED this bag! The last 2 pictures of the Tuck N Roll bags are from Angie’s collection.  I’m sharing them so you can see how pretty they look in all colors and patterns. I’m thinking of how wonderful it will be for traveling – my jewelry always ends up a tangled up mess.  Or…what about using it to organize stuff for your car glove box and know that every time you open the glove box you see something pretty smiling back at you instead of just a bunch of clutter!?
Now that you’ve seen the gorgeous photos of this great gift Angie sent me, let me share a few questions she answered for us!
When did you start your business?Â
It has been in the works for about 2 years.
What inspires you?Â
Usually, I get inspired by the mistakes I make on well-intended projects.
Does a special memory come to mind when you work with a certain item, color, print?
Many generations of women in my family sewed to earn money to support themselves and their families, or to create affordable clothing. I remember my grandmothers wearing doubleknit pants suits in the summer that they sewed.
Are other people in your family artistic, crafty, etc?
My son and daughter, and a brother are very artistic–they both draw and paint well.
Does anyone else in your family own a business? Or any family work with you?
I cannot think of anyone who owns their own business; I have no employees.
Do you have a motto or favorite quote (that you live by)?
“You must do that which you think you cannot.” Eleanor Roosevelt
What is your business mission statement or tagline?
Functional and fun bags to sew and use!
If you wake up in the morning and don’t have the desire to work on something you know you need to finish – what makes you forge ahead?
I really have to be in a mood to create and sew, which is most times. Unless I am ill, my mind is always thinking of new ideas or looking for new ideas.
What has been your favorite project?
My favorite project is the Tuck N Roll Bag. This is why it’s the first pattern I completed.
Is there anything else you want people to know about you or your business?
Teaching beginner sewing students is one of my passions. I enjoy seeing new sewing enthusiasts bloom into the art of sewing.
Be sure to follow Angie and her great company Beaser Bags & Pattern Co.
Angie has signed up to sell her patterns on Craftsy! Â You can find her first pattern, Tuck N Roll, that I’m showing in the photos on Craftsy now! Â Be sure to head over and get a copy and start sewing!

I think the pattern looks like something fun my MIL could make! I would choose the green set with the ducks!
I think the ducks are so darn cute! Good luck!
I like Fabric Duo #5 – I like how bright and fun they are.
I love #5 as well – and they look so pretty together! Good luck!
The fabric bundle would just make me so happy all the different things I could do with it. Fabric Duo 3 seems the coolest.
#3 is cool! And in person they are even better. Good luck!
I would love to FINALLY sew something for myself! I love the Mod Damask Black/Mod Geometric Red fabric combo.
I hope you get to sew something for yourself! That’s always fun! Good luck!
I love the ducks! This looks like it would be fun to make!
The ducks are so darn cute! I love fun fabric, and the ducks are definitely fun! Good luck!
I’d like to win because I love beautiful fabric. I’d like Fabric Duo # 3.
Looks like duo #3 is quite popular! Good luck!
I love a good sewing project. It would be a fun pattern to sew, I love the yellow fabric.
I’m always looking for a good sewing project! Good luck!
i would like to win because i have a new sewing machine and am just learning to sew on it and i would choose the fabric duo #1
A new sewing machine! Woohoo! What did you get? I got a Husqvarna Opal 650 mid-year last year and love it. It’s always fun to get a new toy! Good luck!
i got a Singer Sew Mate 60-Stitch
Very nice – hope you enjoy it! Here are the 2 groups I’m in (they offer lots of great sewing advice). Sweet Stitches of Love – https://www.facebook.com/groups/sweetstitchesoflove/ and Sewing Inspiration and Tutorials – https://www.facebook.com/groups/Sewinginspirationandtutorials/
thankyou i joined both
I’m just learning to sew and I think it would be fun to make something for myself. I’d love #3 or #5 but they’re all beautiful!
How are you learning? Have you found some cool classes or joined in great Facebook groups? I am in a couple of great Facebook groups if you want to know about them. Good luck!
I’d love info on some groups. I’ve been using trial and error and pinterest. 🙂

The fabric duo #2 is my favorite. Those patterns are so adorable and unique. I need a new project to make!
They are definitely unique – I love that they aren’t typical. Good luck!
I am torn between # 2 & # 5 but think I will go with # 5 , I’D enjoy making some new key chains & other projects !!! TY
It really is tough to decide – the fabrics are all so great! I just worked on a few key changes this weekend myself!
I love pattern number 3 and I love sewing projects. So much fun.
I have so many sewing projects I need to work on and my fabric runneth over. I don’t know which one to do first and with what fabric! Good luck!
I’m torn between #3 and #5. I like the colors in the Sweet Yellow Rainbow but I also like the funky look of the Mod Damask Black. I’m usually stuck when I go to the fabric store, too. 🙂
I know the feeling – I always go into the fabric store for ONE yard of fabric and come out with much more because I can’t decide (and they are all so pretty). Good luck!
Love to do project Duo 2. Thanks
Good luck!!
i like the pattern #% very cute and i love the color.
Is that pattern 5? Just want to be sure. Good luck!
I would like to win this as a gift for my Mom, and I think I’d choose #1. Thanks for the chance!
What a fun gift for mom! Good luck!
I think I like #2 the best because I love those ducks! I’d like to win because I am trying to make time to focus on arts and crafts more this year.
I’m in love with those ducks too! Good luck!
I love the green country ducks and navy patchwork. Adorable. I need a new roll. I could whip this up. Thanks for the fabric and pattern. Great giveaway! I follow! Thanks!
The ducks seem to be very popular! Good luck!
I love pattern number 3. My sister would love this!
I love that people are thinking of other people with this giveaway! Good luck!
I am trying to win this for my mom who loves to do this .
Another person trying to win for someone else! I think that’s super! Good luck!!
Love #3! The reason I would like to win it is that I am a quilting fanatic and am just beginning my own stash of fabrics and would love some bright colors to help me finish up some projects!
I love how you said “just beginning your own stash of fabrics.” I’ve been organizing mine today. I have over 100 yards that I need to turn into projects and that’s not including the many yards for sale in the shop. Good luck!
I think duo #2 is cute (mainly because I have ducks!) and I just enjoy sewing and trying new patterns.
How fun that you have ducks!! We used to have some in the pond neighboring our house and they would come right up to the back door if we yelled “Hi Duck Duck. Quack. Quack.” It was so cute! Good luck!
I like the Fabric Duo #2 – Country Ducks Green / Country Patchwork Navy – I think there’s a lot you can do with it. I would like to use it for various craft and art projects.
This duo is very popular!! Good luck.
Super cute pattern! Would be awesome to use when we travel back home to visit.
I would love the Boy Stripes and Triangles, Yellow.
Thanks!
I like #2 best. Can’t wait to try this.
I desperately need a ‘fabric makeover’! Especially since its been since my 2 boys were born (10 & 12 years ago) since I’ve updated anything! Geez…. What a wreck it is :/. Plus, I’ve undergon some really traumatic events as of late, and could seriously use some ‘pick-me-up.’ That said: I’d have to go with the bundle of Pattern Duo #5!
I would love to win this fabric bundle because all I have to pick from in my town is WalMart. I would love to win fabric #2.
I like fabric duo #1! The colors and print are so fresh looking!
